Rian Johnson has signed a two-picture movie deal with Warner Bros.
Per Variety, Johnson and Ram Bergman’s T-Street production company has signed a two-picture producing deal with Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group.
“[Michael De Luca] and [Pam Abdy] renewed commitment to original storytelling and the theatrical experience make Warner Bros. Discovery an ideal place to help us bring the filmmakers we love to audiences around the world on a grand scale,” Johnson and Bergman said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to have them as partners.”
It’s currently unclear if Johnson will direct either of the two films that he and Bergman will be overseeing for Warner Bros. T-Street Productions previously backed Chloe Domont’s Fair Play and Cord Jefferson’s American Fiction, both of which were released in 2023, and 2024’s Snack Shack, which was directed by Adam Carter Rehmeier.
“Rian and Ram are the masterminds of so many wildly entertaining films and are a brilliant creative duo who will be right at home among the Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group family of storytellers who are working to bring more great movies to theatergoers globally,” said De Luca and Abdy, co-chairs and CEOs of Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group, said. “As Warner Bros. Discovery continues to invest in the future of entertainment for audiences of all ages, we are beyond excited to have Rian and Ram here with us.”
