According to Deadline, Stranger Things breakout Joseph Quinn has entered negotiations to star opposite May December’s Charles Melton in A24‘s untitled war movie, which hails from Ex Machina filmmaker Alex Garland.
The project will be co-directed and written by Garland and Ray Mendoza, who first collaborated on Garland’s upcoming Civil War movie. Further details about its plot and characters are still being kept under wraps. It will be produced by Peter Rice along with DNA’s Andrew Macdonald and Allon Reich.
Joseph Quinn Joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe
In addition, it was also recently confirmed that Marvel Studios has officially enlisted Quinn to portray the role of Johnny Storm/ Human Torch in the highly-anticipated Fantastic Four movie. The character was formerly portrayed by Chris Evans and Michael B. Jordan, who both later debuted in the MCU as new Marvel characters. Quinn will be joining Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby and Ebon Moss-Bachrach in the long-delayed project, which will be directed by WandaVision’s Matt Shakman. The film will arrive in theaters on July 25, 2025.
Before starring in the Fantastic Four, Quinn has two high-profile projects set to be released this year. The first one is the upcoming horror prequel A Quiet Place: Day One, in which he’ll star alongside Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o. Afterward, he will next be seen in Ridley Scott’s Gladiator 2.
