Peacock has finally unveiled the trailer for its upcoming animated film Megamind vs. The Doom Syndicate, set to premiere on the streamer on March 1, 2024.
Apart from the new movie, a new companion series — Megamind Rules! — will also arrive on the streaming service on March 1. Produced by DreamWorks Animation, the upcoming film and television show will serve as a follow-up to the 2010 Tom McGrath-directed animated comedy Megamind, which stars Will Ferrell as the voice for the titular supervillain.

Megamind vs. The Doom Syndicate will center on Megamind’s efforts to assemble a new team in order to stop his former evil teammates from their villainous plans. The official synopsis reads: “Megamind’s former villain team, The Doom Syndicate, has returned. Our newly crowned blue hero must now keep up evil appearances until he can assemble his friends (Roxanne, Ol’ Chum, and Keiko) to stop his former evil teammates from launching Metro City to the moon.”
On the other hand, the companion series follows the former villain as he sets out to be the world’s first-ever superhero influencer.

Directed by Eric Fogel and written by Alan Schoolcraft and Brent Simons, the voice cast for the forthcoming animated feature includes Keith Ferguson as Megamind, Laura Post as Roxanne Ritchi, Josh Brener as Ol’ Chum, Maya Aoki Tuttle as Keiko Morita, Emily Tunon as Lady Doppler, Talon Warburton as Lord Nighty-Knight, Scott Adsit as Pierre Pressure, Chris Sullivan as Behemoth, Tony Hale as Mr. Donut, Jeanine Mason as Christino Christo, and American Idol alum Adam Lambert as Machiavillain.
