Netflix has revealed the first look at Atlas, a new sci-movie starring Jennifer Lopez.
The official Netflix Twitter account revealed a first-look image of Atlas. The caption for the post reads, “Jennifer Lopez is ATLAS. A brilliant data analyst with a deep distrust of artificial intelligence joins a mission to capture a renegade robot with whom she shares a mysterious past. Also starring Sterling K. Brown, Simu Liu, and Abraham Popoola. Coming later this year.”

Lopez’s official Twitter account also posted some brief footage from the movie, which sees her character declare, “There’s always a thing you don’t see coming.”

What else do we know about Atlas?
Atlas is directed by Brad Peyton, who previously made 2010’s Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore, 2012’s Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, 2015’s San Andreas, 2016’s Incarnate, and 2018’s Rampage.
The script was written by Leo Sardarian and Aron Eli Coleite, while Lopez, Peyton, Joby Harold, Tory Tunnell, Jeff Fierson, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Benny Medina, Greg Berlanti, and Sarah Schechter serve as producers.
Along with Lopez (This Is Me…Now: A Love Story, Marry Me), Brown (American Fiction, This Is Us), Liu (Barbie, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), and Popoola (The Great, Cruella), Atlas stars Lana Parrilla (The Lincoln Lawyer, Once Upon a Time). According to Netflix Tudum, Mark Strong (Kingsman: The Secret Service, Sherlock Holmes) is also part of the cast.
Lopez previously worked with Netflix when she starred in 2023’s The Mother, which was directed by Niki Caro and also starred Joseph Fiennes, Lucy Paez, and Omari Hardwick. The film is currently available to watch on the streaming service.
Atlas will be released on Netflix in 2024. An exact release date has not yet been announced.
