Over a year after the release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Marvel Studios has confirmed the fate of the film‘s antagonist, Scarlet Witch.
The recently released book Marvel Studios’ The Marvel Cinematic Universe: An Official Timeline has confirmed that Scarlet Witch did indeed die at the end of the Doctor Strange sequel when she destroyed Mount Wundagore. The passage reads:
“[Wanda] destroys Wundagore — and collapses it upon herself — ending two great threats to all of the Multiverse” (via CultureCrave).

This isn’t the first big piece of information to come from the book, as it also fixed the timeline error that 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming made following the flashback sequence at the beginning of the movie.
