Pandemonium: French Horror Take on Dante’s Inferno Gets US Premiere This Week

Transgressive Production has announced that Screamfest LA will host the US Premiere of Pandemonium, the latest feature from filmmaker Quarxx (All the Gods in the Sky).

A Modern Dante’s Inferno

The macabre French horror will debut in the US on October 14, 2023. It previously made its world premiere at Neuchâtel and went on to screen at Fantasia, Frightfest, Fantasy FilmFest, Sitges, Grimmfest, and Trieste.

Its premiere is at the TCL Chinese Theatre, on Screen 6 at 7:30 PM PST.

The film’s themes are found in Dante’s Inferno and Milton’s Paradise Lost, Pandemonium is described as a multi-textured existential fantasy, topped with signature notes of visceral horror, disturbing fairy tale, wry comedy, and dark thriller.  Personally, I’m just about stopping myself from squeaking, ” It looks a bit like Silent Hill”.

You can watch the Pandemonium trailer below and look at the official poster as well.

Pandemonium follows Nathan (Hugo Dillon), an ordinary man on a journey he never expected. After realizing he has died at the scene of a car crash, Nathan descends into the depths of hell, where he is doomed to experience the pain of tortured souls along the way.
