Back to the Future 2023 Remaster Gets Additional Theatrical Date

After announcing earlier this year that Back to the Future would be getting a return to theaters, Fathom Events has added another date for fans to check out the iconic film.

Due to popular demand, an additional date — October 25, 2023 — has been added for the return to theaters for Back to the Future. Originally, the movie was set to return to theaters for just one day, October 21, in reference to the day that Marty McFly and Doc Brown land in the year 2015 in Back to the Future Part II.

Alongside the film, Fathom Events will also present a sneak peek into the making of the film during showings, which will include rare audition footage from actors like Ben Stiller, Kyra Sedgwick, Jon Cryer, and more.

All screenings are scheduled for 7:30 pm local time. Tickets for the event are now available to purchase at fathomevents.com or at participating theater box offices.

What is Back to the Future about?

“When teenager Marty McFly is blasted to 1955 in the DeLorean time machine created by the eccentric Doc Brown, he finds himself mixed up in a time-shattering chain reaction that could vaporize his future-and leave him trapped in the past,” reads the synopsis. “Powered by innovative special effects, unforgettable songs and non-stop action, ‘Back To The Future’ is an unrivaled adventure that stands the test of time.”

Back to the Future was written and directed by Zemeckis. It starred Michael J. FoxChristopher LloydLea Thompson, Crispin Glover, and Thomas F. Wilson. After its massive success at the box office with a current worldwide gross of $388 million, it was followed by two more installments, which were both equally well-received by audiences.
