David Gordon Green’s The Exorcist: Believer is just hitting theaters, and although it has come in for some pretty strong criticism (for the record, ComingSoon didn’t hate it), Blumhouse is still confident it will have a killer weekend at the box office. Possibly even a series high.
But that’s not the only news about the film today, as The Exorcist: Believer has been confirmed to receive a 4K special edition SteelBook release when it eventually heads home.
What’s in The Exorcist: Believer 4K Special Edition SteelBook release?
The Exorcist: Believer 4K Special Edition SteelBook will feature a booklet and four postcard-style images from the movie.
Director David Gordon Green (Halloween) revisits this terrifying story that broke box office records, won 2 Academy Awards, and influenced the trajectory of horror films. Leslie Odom Jr. stars in this direct sequel to the first film, alongside the original Exorcist star Ellen Burstyn reprising the role of Chris MacNeil. When a 12-year-old girl becomes possessed by a mysterious demonic entity, her father desperately searches for help, finding aid with someone whose daughter survived a similar possession in the 1970s.
There’s currently no official release date for this physical release, but we’ll likely know before the end of the year.
The Exorcist: Believer is in theaters now, featuring Leslie Odom Jr., Ellen Burstyn, Lidya Jewitt, and Olivia O’Neill.
