MGM has released a new clip from the forthcoming R-rated comedy Bottoms, the teen comedy starring Shiva Baby’s Rachel Sennott and The Bear’s Ayo Edebiri. The Bottoms clip features former NFL star Marshawn Lynch as Mr. G, an oblivious teacher who oversees the after-school fight club run by Sennott’s PJ and Edebiri’s Josie.
In the clip, Mr. G confronts the girls about the fight club, saying they exploited his “solidarity.” Mr. G then rants about Amelia Earhart and how he always knew that “women were evil.”

Who is Involved in Bottoms?
Besides Sennott, Edebiri, and Lynch, the Bottoms’ cast includes Kaia Gerber as Brittany, Nicholas Galitzine as Jeff, Havana Rose Liu as Isabel, Ruby Cruz as Hazel Callahan, and Dagmara Domińczyk as Mrs. Callahan.
“A refreshingly unique raunchy comedy, the film focuses on two girls, PJ and Josie, who start a fight club as a way to lose their virginities to cheerleaders. Their bizarre plan works,” the official synopsis from MGM reads. “The fight club gains traction and soon the most popular girls in school are beating each other up in the name of self-defense. But PJ and Josie find themselves in over their heads and in need of a way out before their plan is exposed.”
Bottoms is directed by Emma Seligman from a screenplay she co-wrote with Sennott. The duo collaborated on 2020’s Shiva Baby. Elizabeth Banks, Max Handelman, and Alison Small serve as producers. After a raucous debut at South by Southwest, Bottoms is set for a limited theatrical release on August 25 before expanding to more cities on September 1.
