20th Century Studios has announced the Prey 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD release dates for last year’s acclaimed Predator prequel. The Hulu Original garnered positive reviews from critics, who praised the film’s action sequences and lead star Amber Midthunder.
When is the Prey 4K, Blu-ray and DVD release dates?
Prey will finally arrive on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD starting on October 3. Designed by digital artist Attila Szarka, a collector’s edition 4K SteelBook will also available exclusively at Best Buy. In addition, the home video release will include never-before-seen bonus content, which will vary by retailer and will be exclusive to the Blu-ray version.

What is Prey about?
“The epic Predator legacy continues with this action-thriller set in 1719 on the Great Plains with a band of Comanches,” reads the synopsis. “When Naru, a fierce and highly skilled young warrior, sets out to protect her people, the prey she stalks turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator — leading to a vicious and terrifying showdown.”
Prey was directed by Dan Trachtenberg from a screenplay written by Patrick Aison, based on story by Aison and Trachtenberg. The R-rated film also starred Dane DiLiegro as Predator, Harlan Blayne Kytwayhat as Itsee, Dakota Beavers as Taabe, and Michelle Thrush as Aruka.
Executive producers were Lawrence Gordon, Ben Rosenblatt, Mary Kathryn Nagle, Tyson Breuer, James E. Thomas, John C. Thomas, and Marc Toberoff. It was produced by John Davis, Jhane Myers, and Marty P. Ewing, with Sarah Schachner as the composer.
