The stage musical adaptation of The Notebook is heading to Broadway in Spring 2024, Deadline reported on Thursday. Previews will begin on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre in New York City. Opening night is scheduled for March 14, 2024.
Who is Involved in The Notebook Musical?
Based on Nicholas Sparks’ 1996 novel of the same name, The Notebook musical adaptation features music and lyrics by singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson, with a book written by playwright and This is Us producer Bekah Brunstetter.
Michael Greif (Dear Evan Hansen) and Schele Williams (The Wiz) will direct The Notebook with choreography by Katie Spelman (Moulin Rouge! The Musical). Kevin McCollum and Kurt Deutsch will produce. No casting announcements have been made.
Initially announced in 2019, The Notebook premiered at the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre in October 2022.
