The official Napoleon runtime has been revealed for Apple Studios’ upcoming historical drama, centering around the notorious French leader who will be portrayed by Oscar winner Joaquin Phoenix.

According to a listing on South Korea’s official rating board website, Ridley Scott’s next directorial project reportedly holds a total running time of 157 minutes and 43 seconds. The film is currently slated to arrive in theaters on November 22, followed by its streaming debut on Apple TV+.

Napoleon is directed by Ridley Scott, who is reuniting with Phoenix after the acclaimed 2000 epic drama Gladiator. The screenplay is written by David Scarpa. Joining Phoenix are Vanessa Kirby, Tahar Rahim, Ben Miles, Ludivine Sagnier, Matthew Needham, Youssef Kerkour, Phil Cornwell, and more.
The biographical film described as “an original and personal look at Napoleon’s origins and his swift, ruthless climb to emperor, viewed through the prism of his addictive and often volatile relationship with his wife and one true love, Josephine. The film will capture Napoleon’s famous battles, his relentless ambition, and astounding strategic mind as an extraordinary military leader and war visionary.”
Napoleon is produced by Scott and Kevin Walsh for Scott Free. As Scott prepares for the movie’s upcoming release this year, he is also currently busy getting ready for the impending production star of his long-awaited Gladiator sequel, which will be led by Oscar nominee Paul Mescal.
