Sasha Calle Talks Supergirl’s DC Universe Future, Hopes to Show Her Human Side

Sasha Calle hopes to continue playing Supergirl in the DC Universe.

The actress who appeared on the soap opera The Young and the Restless was cast as Kara Zor-El/Supergirl in her feature film debut in The Flash. Her performance as the character has gotten positive reviews, including from Superman actor Henry Cavill. “I was really excited to meet him,” Calle told Entertainment Tonight about her onscreen cousin. “I was like, ‘What’d you think? Did I make you proud?’ and he was like, yeah, yeah. It was in his own words; we obviously have a very different lingo. He was very proper and kind and very glorious.”

When asked if she would like to reprise her character, Sasha Calle said, “Absolutely, are you kidding me? I love her so much, and I feel her very deeply. I think this movie was a runway to a better story for her.”

Calle spoke about how she would like to delve more into the human aspect of her character. “I just want to dive deeper into Kara and her feelings into her day to day. I would just love to see her in regular clothes, in human clothes. As a fan, the whole time that I was filming, I kept thinking, ‘What would she wear? What glasses would she wear?'”

How much did The Flash make opening weekend?

The Flash made $55.1 million in its opening weekend, underperforming at the box office and signaling what may be a box office bomb.
