The Avengers: Secret Wars release date has been pushed back by Marvel as the upcoming MCU movie will no longer come out in 2026.

The Avengers: Secret Wars release date is now set for May 7, 2027. The movie was previously scheduled to come out on May 1, 2026. That makes the delay slightly over a year.
Secret Wars is the sixth installment to the blockbuster Avengers films. It is expected to conclude Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 6 and The Multiverse Saga. Fans have long been awaiting news of a potential live-action adaptation of the iconic comic book series, which sees various Marvel heroes and villains being taken by a cosmic entity known as The Beyonder, where they then fight it out on a planet called Battleworld.
Unlike Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, Secret Wars currently has no director attached to it yet, although Ryan Coogler was rumored.
“Well, I would want Ryan to do anything at any time because he’s a singular talent and a great person to spend years with,” Feige said. “But no, in all honesty, there’ve been no conversations. We’ve not spoken to him about Secret Wars.”
