Consecration is topping the Shudder May 2023 schedule.
On May 19, the streaming service will add the supernatural horror movie directed by Christopher Smith to its available content. Smith also penned the script with Laurie Cook. The story follows a woman investigating the whereabouts of her priest brother’s death, when strange things start to happen. It stars Jena Malone, Danny Huston, and Janet Suzman. The movie grossed about $1.4 million during its theatrical release.
“After the suspicious death of her brother, a priest, Grace (Malone) goes to the Mount Saviour Convent in Scotland to find out what really happened with the help of Father Romero (Huston). But she soon comes to distrust the account of the Church as she uncovers murder, sacrilege, and a disturbing truth about her own shadowy past that brings long-buried trauma to the surface.”
