Shameik Moore is set to reprise his role as Miles Morales in the upcoming Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. However, if he was ever given the chance, he’d also suit for a live-action film as the iconic character.
Speaking to Empire Magazine about the upcoming sequel, Moore said that he would love to play Miles in a live-action film and that he thinks “everyone knows” that he would do a great job at it.
“I feel like everyone knows I would be a great [live-action] Miles Morales. As I left the theatre after that premiere, Jamie Foxx looked at me like… he knew,” said Moore. “I think Tom Holland knows, too.”
Of course, whether or not Moore ever gets the chance to play Miles in the real world depends on a multitude of factors. One of which, according to Moore, is what Marvel Studios wants the character to be by the time the character is introduced.
“It just depends on how old they want Miles to be by the time they’re ready to do a live-action movie,” said Moore. “That’s the conundrum with whether or not I end up playing him.”
For now, Moore will get the chance to continue playing Miles in the upcoming Spider-Verse as well as its sequel, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, which is set to release in 2024.
