Captain America: Civil War Adds Daniel Bruhl in Mystery Role

Daniel Bruhl has joined the cast of Captain America: Civil War in a mystery role! Bruhl’s credits include Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds, Bill Condon’s The Fifth Estate and, opposite Marvel Cinematic Universe star Chris Hemsworth, Ron Howard’s Rush.

Bruhl joins the returning Chris Evans (in the title role), Robert Downey, Jr. (reprising his role as Tony Stark) and the recently-revealed Chadwick Boseman (debuting as the Black Panther) for Civil War, set to be directed by The Winter Soldier‘s sibling team of Joe and Anthony Russo. Look for it to hit theaters May 6, 2016.

“With Daniel’s ability to deliver intense, nuanced performances, we knew we had found yet another great actor to share the screen with some of our biggest heroes,” said Marvel President Kevin Feige.
