According to The Hollywood Reporter, Alcon Entertainment has enlisted two new voice actors who will be joining Chris Pratt in the upcoming animated film Garfield. Emmy-winning British actor Brett Goldstein and Saturday Night Live cast member Bowen Yang have signed onto the project.

The film will reunite Goldstein with Ted Lasso co-star Hannah Waddingham, who was previously announced for the film, along with Samuel L. Jackson, Nicholas Hoult, Cecily Strong, and Ving Rhames.
The newest Garfield movie will be directed by Mark Dindal, who is known for his work on The Emperor’s New Groove and Chicken Little. It is being written by Paul Kaplan and Mark Torgove, who are also serving as executive producers. The film will feature Chris Pratt voicing everyone’s favorite lazy lasagna-loving cat.

The project is executive produced by Garfield creator Jim Davis, Amuse’s Bridget McMeel, Craig Sost, John Cohen, and Steven P. Wegner. It will be animated by DNEG Animation, with CEO Namit Malhotra and president Tom Jacomb producing. Garfield is scheduled to arrive in theaters on May 24, 2024.
