Universal Pictures and Nintendo have released the first The Super Mario Bros. Movie poster for the upcoming animated film. A collaboration between Nintendo and Illumination, the film will receive its first teaser trailer this Thursday during a Nintendo Direct presentation focused on the film. The stream will take place at 4:05 p.m. ET/1:05 p.m. PT.
The film stars Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek, and Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie is directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic (collaborators on Teen Titans Go! To the Movies) from a screenplay by Matthew Fogel (The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part, Minions: The Rise of Gru). It is produced by Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri and Nintendo legend Shigeru Miyamoto. It is co-financed by Nintendo and Universal Pictures, who will release the film worldwide.
