Ben Affleck has made it no secret that he may be done playing Batman in future films. However, The Flash star Ezra Miller has teased that Affleck may not be as finished as many people believe him to be.

In a recent Instagram story, Miller highlighted a section from a recent Variety interview that Affleck took part in. Miller underlined a section from the interview that noted that Affleck would be playing Batman “one last time” in the upcoming The Flash film. In response, Miller wrote “Ha Ha Ha” in large, red letters across the screen, seemingly hinting that Affleck is far from done.
After starring as the Caped Crusader in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Affleck reprised his role as Batman in 2016’s Suicide Squad, 2017’s Justice League, and then again in 2021’s Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Since then, Affleck has seemingly spoken as if he was done with the character, but Miller’s recent messages seem to suggest otherwise.
The long-in-development The Flash movie sees the return of Ezra Miller as the DCEU’s Scarlet Speedster/Barry Allen, who he first portrayed in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League, and Zack Snyder’s Justice League. He also played the hero in a cameo appearance on The CW’s Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event, where he got to meet Grant Gustin’s version of Barry Allen.

The Ezra Miller-led The Flash movie is directed by IT‘s Andy Muschietti from the latest screenplay written by Christina Hodson (Birds of Prey). It is being executive produced by Marianne Jenkins with Michael Disco and Barbara Muschietti set as producers.
The film is currently set for a November 4, 2022 release.
