Former “Parks and Recreation” star Rob Lowe is set to join the cast of Paramount Pictures’ live-action/CGI hybrid, Monster Trucks, Deadline reports. He joins Jane Levy, Lucas Till, Danny Glover, Amy Ryan, Thomas Lennon, Barry Pepper and Holt McCallany for the Chris Wedge film.
Lowe will be back on the big screen soon, appearing in the Columbia Pictures comedy Sex Tape opposite Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel.
The screenplay for Monster Trucks arrives from Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger, who also wrote DreamWorks Animation’s Kung Fu Panda and Paramount Animation’s upcoming SpongeBob SquarePants sequel.
No plot details have been revealed as of yet, although a release date of May 29, 2015 has already been set.
