A few years after helping introduce a new spin-off series for Warner Bros’ Conjuring franchise, director Corin Hardy has lined up his next project with the horror pic Every House is Haunted, with Netflix having acquired the rights to the Sam Raimi-produced project, according to Deadline.

Scripted by Project Almanac duo Jason Pagan and Andrew Deutschman, the film centers on an insurance investigator, who is tasked to debunk the unbelievable claims that a couple’s death was cause by a haunted house. However, his doubts will be challenged by a psychic and the mysterious occurrences he witnesses with his own eyes.
Alongside Raimi, the film will be produced by partner Zainab Azizi via their Raimi Productions banner while Vertigo Entertainment’s Roy lee and Andrew Childs are currently attached as executive producers for the horror project.
This project marks Hardy’s first major movie project after more than two years since directing Warner Bros. Pictures’ Conjuring spinoff, The Nun in 2018 which was box office success and the highest grossing installment in its franchise. After that, he directed several episodes of the British crime drama series titled Gangs of London starring Joe Cole which debuted in the U.K. last year.

This project is a new addition to Raimi’s growing list of projects that he is currently producing including the upcoming Screen Gems’ horror film The Unholy and the Don’t Breathe sequel starring Stephen Lang. The Spider-Man trilogy director is currently filming in the UK for Marvel Studios’ highly-anticipated Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness which is his first directing gig in a long while after eight years since 2013’s Oz the Great and Powerful.
