Even though 2012’s Dredd 3D debuted to abysmal numbers at the box office, the film has gone on to become a bit of a cult classic, finding its audience after getting released on DVD and Blu-ray. The likelihood of a sequel seemed miniscule at the time, but now the Judge himself, Karl Urban, says there’s a chance.
Speaking at the Destination Star Trek convention in Frankfurt, Germany (via What Culture), Urban said there have been conversations with writer Alex Garland and studio Lionsgate about another entry in the franchise because of the film’s popularity on home video.
Urban has previously mentioned a sequel being a possibility, asking fans to be as vocal as possible about their desires to see it, and it seems like you followed the Judge’s orders. What would you like to see in a Dredd 3D sequel? Sound off below!
