Ben Kingsley and Alessandra Mastronardi have joined the cast of director Anton Corbijn’s Life. The Hollywood Reporter broke the news, bringing word that they’ll join the previously-attached Dane DeHaan and Robert Pattinson for the true story of the friendship formed between actor James Dean (DeHaan) and photojournalist Dennis Stock (Pattinson).
Kingsley starred last year in Ender’s Game and Iron Man 3. He reprised his role from the latter for a new Marvel Studios “One-Shot” short film, “All Hail the King.” It arrives next week, exclusively with the home video release of Thor: The Dark World.
Mastronardi, meanwhile, is best known to domestic audiences for her big screen role in Woody Allen’s To Rome with Love.
Now shooting in Toronto, Life is scripted by Luke Davies. Iain Canning, Christina Piovesan and Emile Sherman are attached to produce.
