‘Trumbo’, ‘Life’ and Possible Pixar Short for ‘Inside Out’ in Today’s MPAA Ratings Bulletin

We’ll begin today’s bulletin with Trumbo, Jay Roach‘s new film centered on the life of Dalton Trumbo played by Bryan Cranston, which Bleecker Street will be releasing later this year. A possible Oscar contender and likely fall festival entrant, the film has scored an R rating and who knows, maybe we’ll get a trailer sooner rather than later.

Then there’s Z for Zachariah, which played the Sundance Film Festival to a mixed response. Rated PG-13, the film was picked up by Roadside, but is still looking for an official release date.

Anton Corbijn‘s Life is still looking for a distributor after its Berlin Film Festival premiere, but it has an MPAA rating. The film, starring Robert Pattinson and Dane DeHaan, will arrive with an R-rating when it does finally arrive.

Next is Joshua Oppenheimer‘s The Look of Silence, which has been playing festivals since Venice of last year, but Drafthouse will finally bring the The Act of Killing follow-up to theaters in July with a PG-13 rating.

Finally we have Riley’s First Date, which appears to be the short film that will most likely be attached to the Inside Out Blu-ray from Pixar and Disney. Stitch Kingdom did a little research and found a Google cached resume for Inside Out Graphic Art Designer Clark Foster at IMDb that credited new Toy Story 4 director Josh Cooley as the director.
