Avengers: Age of Ultron to Shoot in Korea, Another Cast Member Added

We learned last week that Marvel Studios’ upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron is planning on doing some shooting in Northern Italy and now it seems the production is going to be doing even more globe hopping. Twitch reports that the film will be setting up shop in Incheon City, just outside Seoul, for at least a brief period. The site also reports that local actress Kim Soo-hyun (not to be confused with the actor of the same name) has been cast in the film, in a role they’re saying is a villain. None of this is confirmed for the time being, but check back here for more information on the film’s production and cast as we learn it.

Production is expected to begin on the sequel this March with filming to take place in the UK and the US. The film will see Robert Downey jr. and many others from the Marvel cinematic universe reprising their roles along with some newcomers including Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, James Spader and Thomas Kretschmann.

Written and directed once again by Joss Whedon, Avengers: Age of Ultron will hit theaters May 1, 2015.
