Deadline is claiming the exclusive that British comedian/actor Ricky Gervais has been set to reprise his role as Dr. McPhee, Ben Stiller’s boss, in Night At The Museum 3, a film that’s already in production.
He joins the previously announced Robin Williams as Teddy Roosevelt, with Shawn Levy once again directing from a screenplay by Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant (“Reno 911!”).
The movie is planned for 20th Century Fox’s Christmas slot for 2014.
Gervais will also be seen next year in Disney’s Muppets Most Wanted and he’s developing his own animated feature based on his book “Flanimals” with Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures.
