Aaron Eckhart enlists for Vietnam thriller Ambush
According to Deadline, Aaron Eckhart has enlisted in the Vietnam War thriller Ambush, marking the second war drama the actor has starred in following his stint in Roland Emmerich’s Midway, which released earlier this month.

Per the report, the film is “based on the true story of a deadly high-stakes subterranean mission into enemy controlled territory.” Eckhart will portray Captain Drummon, the leader of the elite group of young commandos that attempted to carry out the mission, but found themselves surrounded by an invisible enemy. “Drummond’s young team must overcome their apprehension in order to pursue the force into the complex labyrinth of Cu Chi tunnels, with enemy soldiers and traps at every turn.”

Mark Earl Burman will write and direct the action thriller, and serve as producer under the Dark Mark Productions banner alongside executive producers David Unger, Arianne Fraser, Delphine Perrier, Scott Powell, Randy Burman, Wayne Wilbur, Harry Ahluwalia and Anthony Standberry.
Principle photography is set to commence in January of 2020.
