According to Deadline, veteran actor William Sadler (The Shawshank Redemption) is teaming up with Mike C. Manning (Teen Wolf) for the horror film Slapface, which is set to begin production this fall. The duo join a cast that includes August Maturo (The Nun), Bianca D’Ambrosio (TV’s Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn) and Chiara D’Ambrosio (The Young and the Restless).

The film follows a boy named Lucas (Maturo) who befriends a Monster in the woods, and subsequently causes a whole lot of trouble for that town Sheriff (Sadler) must try to stop.
Shintaro Shimosawa will executive produce the pic, while Joe Benedetto will produce alongside co-producer Nick Theurer and line producer Artisha Mann-Cooper.

Sadler has appeared in a number of high profile gigs, including The Green Mile, Die Hard 2: Die Harder and Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey. He will reprise his Bill & Ted role in the sequel Bill & Ted Face the Music with Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter.
