One of the chief aims behind this Friday’s release of The Three Stooges is to bring back to the big screen the slapstick comedy of Moe Howard, Curly Howard and Larry Fine. That’s why, even though the Farrelly brothers film works as a straightforward narrative, it’s divided into three segments, mimicking the shorts that made up the trio’s act, which began more than 75 years ago.
It’s also why, when ComingSoon.net sat down to chat with the film’s cast, we didn’t so much speak with Sean Hayes, Chris Diamantopoulous and Will Sasso as we did with Larry, Moe and Curly, all of whom were more than happy to show off some slaps, eye-pokes and nyuk-nyuk-nyuks.
We also chatted with Peter Farrelly, one half of the writing/directing sibling pair and Jane Lynch, who plays Mother Superior, a nun at an orphanage that the Stooges, once raised there, are on a mission to save.
