Woah, we’ve got some shakeups with The Digital Entertainment Group’s Top 20 Streaming Films, fellow couch potatoes! The biggest one? David Ayer’s The Tax Collector, starring Bobby Soto and Shia LaBeouf as a couple of “tax collectors” working for a local crime lord, sprung to the top of the charts in its first week of release, usurping reigning champ Trolls World Tour in the process. Not bad for a flick that received a meager 19% on Rotten Tomatoes. At the very least, it shakes things up for the next few weeks, especially considering its audience rating sits at around 65%. The film also killed it at the box office, but you have to click here to find out how.
Otherwise, the list is very similar to last weeks with Yellowstone hogging three of the top six spots, followed by The Outpost and Scoob! The Kavin Bacon thriller You Should Have Left dropped two spots to No. 4 while The Rental dropped from No. 8 to No. 9. Randomly, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom stomped into the Top 20 and landed at No. 18 just ahead of Most Wanted and Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey. Was there some sort of Fallen Kingdom holiday I didn’t know about? Or was Universal offering the film for free? It’s just really random.
Finally, Harry Potter continues to shine and has actually ascended to No. 14, and could even crack the Top 10 at some point, which would really be magical.
