JYP Entertainment’s Stray Kids have again charted on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the second male K-pop group to chart in the famous chart after BTS. Other K-pop acts who have appeared on Billboard Hot 100n include Blackpink, Psy, NewJeans, Illit & more.
Stray Kids are aiming for the stars with their latest comeback, 2024, and the excitement for their new music reflects on the global charts. Previously, the K-pop octet made headlines for topping the Billboard 200 (album chart) four consecutive times with two extended plays and albums, including Ordinary, Maxident, 5-Star, and Rock-Star.
Stray Kids’ new song ‘Lose My Breath’ featuring Charlie Puth enters Billboard Hot 100
Stray Kids’ latest song, “Lose My Breath,” featuring Charlie Puth, reached number 90 on the Billboard Hot 100. Their 2023 track “Lalalala” also became their first entry to the Billboard Hot 100, which stood at 90 in its debut week.
Billboard Hot 100 is one of the most challenging charts ever to rank, and only very few K-pop artists have previously returned to the chart with multiple entries. K-pop juggernauts BTS has the most Billboard Hot 100 entries, including four number 1 hits. Individually, BTS icons Jungkook and Jimin have also achieved their solo number 1 hits on the Hot 100 with songs like “Seven” and “Like Crazy.”
Besides BTS, Blackpink, NewJeans, and TWICE have also made several entries in the Billboard Hot 100. But BTS remains the first and only K-pop act to achieve number 1 on the chart.
After Stray Kids’ Billboard charting hit “Lose My Breath,” the “Maniac” crooners prepare for their comeback album. Stray Kids will reportedly release their comeback album on July 19, 2024.
