Top Latin singer J Balvin shocked fans by sharing a surprising fact about BTS. While all the members of the boyband BTS are currently serving in military training, fans speculate a new collaboration could drop anytime in the future.
Since its debut, BTS has collaborated with several globally renowned artists. In 2019, the group released the history-making single “Boy With Luv” with Halsey. Later, the group collaborated with Coldplay for the song “My Universe,” which was part of the rock band’s 2021 album Music of the Spheres.
BTS & J Balvin worked on a song that was never released?
K-pop trendsetters BTS might have a few gems saved in their vault that fans have yet to listen to. According to Latin artist J Balvin’s latest TikTok live, the “Mi Gente” crooner recorded a song with BTS. The song has yet to get a release date.
While interacting live on TikTok, a fan asked J Balvin, “Are you going to collaborate with a K-pop group?” The 39-year-old singer answered, “I had a song that I had recorded with BTS, but it was never released or hasn’t come out YET because we don’t know what happens in life.”
The friendship between J Balvin and BTS is no news to fans. BTS Suga, aka Min Yoongi, once posted a snap of Bangtan members with Balvin on his Instagram. BTS ARMY speculates the picture could have been taken to commemorate the group’s forthcoming collaboration with the Columbian superstar.
Meanwhile, BTS ARMY prepares for an eventful June, Bangtan’s anniversary month. Usually, the group shares a bunch of ‘Festa’ content during the anniversary month. The array of unique content includes the members’ photoshoots, quizzes, and solo songs. Bangtan Boys have also gifted special group performances during Festa in the last few years.
BTS Festa 2024 will be more significant to ARMY as the group’s oldest member, Jin, is set to finish his military duty at the end of June. Kim Seokjin will finish his military duty around June 21, marking the first Bangtan member’s return from the mandatory military hiatus.
