NewJeans: Is Hyein okay?
While NewJeans is ready for an eventful year, ADOR shared a major health update on Hyein. As per the music label, NewJeans Hyein will not participate in several comeback promotional activities due to an injury. The label noted: âLast month, HYEIN felt pain in the top of her foot during practice. She visited the hospital, where she underwent a thorough examination and discovered a microfracture in her foot.â
The statement revealed that medical professionals have advised Hyein âto minimize any movement that may put unnecessary strain on the affected area.â So, the 16-year-old member will not participate in most promotional activities. It also added: âFor other scheduled appearances beyond music shows and performances, her participation will be adjusted flexibly based on her health and medical advice.â
Before NewJeansâ comeback, Hyein got her solo exposure through IUâs hit album, Winning. The K-pop singer is featured in one of her 2024 comeback album tracks, âShh.â Before the collaboration, IU praised Hyeinâs voice in her talk show, and IUâs Palette mentioned her stunning performance in the song âGet Up.â
Meanwhile, NewJeans will release their âHow Sweetâ and the B-side song âBubble Gumâ on May 24. Later, the group will release two more tracks, Super Naturalâ and âRight Now,â on June 21.
