Ahead of its release, SM Entertainment has revealed the concept of some of the tracks. As per the label, “Tap” is a unique hip-hop song that combines groovy, modern drums and 808 base tracks with rock and blues-style guitar sounds.”
“Moon Tour” is an alternative R&B melody that combines dreamy synth pads, piano, and string sources in the second half to make the track appealing.
Another song, “Run Away,” will give a taste of the rock genre. The song has a warm guitar riff and drum sound in the first half, which changes as it progresses midway. The lyrics of “Run Away” depict a lover’s honest feelings towards someone who has left. Taeyong has an electrifying charm while embodying any rock genre song, which is instrumental to the song’s charm.
“Ape” is Taeyong’s signature hip-hop song that flaunts his confidence as an artist while also revealing his worries to the listeners.
Another R&B genre song on the album is “Ups & Downs,” where the NCT star reflects on his relationship after it has ended.
The final song of the album, “404 Loading,” is a message of acceptance. The touching lyrics of the song show how the artist is overcoming his loneliness after the end of his journey with someone.
The previews of the songs and a cinematic teaser of Taeyong’s Tap have hooked fans as they wait for the album’s official release.
