K-pop artists Jessi and Jay Park have recently shut down rumors about contract termination that have been circulating online. On Wednesday, December 6, 2023, it was reported that Jay Park’s agency, MORE VISION, informed Jessi of its intention to discontinue their exclusive contract.
Jessi joined MORE VISION in April 2023. The recent reports also said that both the agency and the singer have been discussing the matter. In response to the news, the entertainment agency briefly said, “We’re checking [the facts].” However, the news has now taken a different turn as both Jay Park and Jessi have taken to their Instagram stories to dismiss the rumors.
Jay Park & Jessie refute the rumors of discord
On December 7, 2023, Jay Park and Jessi took the direct initiative to clear out all the ongoing rumors about the exclusive contract between Jessi and MORE VISION being terminated. Jay Park shut the rumors by posting a story on his official Instagram account, which says, “Me and Jessi [are] good. No need to worry. There is no such thing as discord.”
Meanwhile, Jessi also took to her Instagram account to refute the contract termination news by sharing a story with a picture of her and Jay Park. The K-pop rapper wrote, “Just arrived in NY… and woke up to this Nonsense.” It further reads, “Y’all need to get a life for real. We all good over here. Happy Holidays Guys!”
In July 2022, Jessi parted ways with Psy’s agency, P NATION. She worked with the entertainment company for three years. After parting ways with P NATION, she began working in the K-pop music industry on her own without joining any music label for quite some time. Later on, in July 2023, she went on to join Jay Park’s agency, MORE VISION.
