The latest episode of The Midnight Romance in Hagwon began with student Lee Shi-Woo returning the Choiseon Korean textbooks to director Choi Hyeong-Seon’s assistant. The latter was furious with Shi-Woo for leaving the academy and joining Daechi Chase. While Shi-Woo asked the assistant to document the handover in writing, the assistant also sought Shi-Woo’s statement that he wouldn’t ask for the textbooks again. Meanwhile, Hye-Jin decided to stay at Daechi Chase and informed her decision to Director Kim Hyun-Tak, who was happy and rather relieved.

Choi Hyeong-Seon grew furious at her assistant for his behavior towards Shi-Woo. She then sent a message to Shi-Woo, expressing her support regardless of where he chose to study. Back at Daechi Chase, Joon-Ho revealed Hye-Jin’s decision to stay in a conversation with fellow instructor Yoon Ji-Seok. He later asked Hye-Jin to join him for lunch, but she remained indifferent to the offer and stayed back at the academy. Joon-Ho returned to share the lunch with Nam Cheong-Mi, who sensed a connection between him and Hye-Jin.

At night, Hye-Jin met with her college friend and talked about how she could never match her friends’ achievements as she was busy earning for her family. She also spoke about having feelings for Joon-Ho but avoiding it. Hye-Jin didn’t want their relationship to become a scandal and affect Joon-Ho. Meanwhile, Joon-Ho prepared to move closer to Hye-Jin and found the notes she had written for him while teaching him in the past. After he sent her a picture of the same, Hye-Jin grew emotional, thinking that teaching him kept her sane back then.

As Joon-Ho brought a drunk Hye-Jin back home, the latter confessed her feelings. In the morning, the two made their relationship official but kept it secret. As Hye-Jin felt sick, Joon-Ho asked her to rest, offering to take over her classes for the day. However, at Daechi Chase, Cheong-Mi understood their situation and volunteered to take over, leaving Joon-Ho to attend to Hye-Jin. The two went on a date, visited their old academy, and shared special moments.

The following day, Joon-Ho shifted his belongings to the new apartment. He confided in his best friend, Choi Sung-Gyu, about dating Hye-Jin. Meanwhile, Hye-Jin spent time with director Hyun-Tak and attended Joon-Ho’s class. After the class, student Lee Shi-Woo asked the two to take another literature class like the one before. At night, Joon-Ho and Hye-Jin kept walking each other home until Hye-Jin invited him back to her apartment.
