Crash K-Drama Episode 6 Recap & Spoilers: Is Lee Min-Ki Fired?

Crash K-drama episode 6 aired on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, on ENA and Disney Plus. Starring Lee Min-Ki and Kwak Sun-Young, the cop-crime K-drama revolves around the Traffic Crime Investigation (TCI) team as they solve complicated traffic-related criminal cases.

In the previous episode, Inspector Yeon-Ho (Lee Min-Ki) suggested to Major Crime Division Head Lee Tae-Joo that the car burglar and the serial rapist were the same person. While solving the case, Yeon-Ho received a bulletin board post from Inspector So-Hee (Kwak Sun-Young). It read, “How can a murderer become a police officer?” referring to Yeon-Ho’s past.

Crash episode 6 begins with the post creating a stir at the Namgang police station. Police Chief Gu Gyeong-Mo tells TCI team head Jung Chae-Man that he should ask Yeon-Ho to opt for leave for a few days. Due to the post, Gyeong-Mo informs Chae-Man that the headquarters wants to expel or fire Yeon-Ho. Additionally, the episode also provides viewers with clarity on Yeon-Ho’s job status.

Crash K-drama episode 6 spoilers: Lee Min-Ki admits to Kwak Sun-Young about killing someone

In Crash K-drama episode 6, Yeon-Ho doesn’t reveal all the details of his past to So-Hee but accepts that he killed someone. In the past, a woman died in a road accident where the driver who hit her was Yeon-Ho. However, the storyline becomes more interesting as Deputy Commission Pyo Myung-Hak and his son are connected to the incident.

Myung-Hak’s son Jong-Uk and his friend Yang Jae-Young (Heo Ji-Won) are asked to lay low after the bulletin board post. Meanwhile, Yeon-Ho is interrogated about the incident to determine if he can continue working as a police inspector.

On the other hand, the TCI team struggles to solve the car burglary case. Things get more complicated after Tae-Joo informs that the car burglar and serial rapist’s DNA are not a match. While So-Hee attempts to speak to one of the victims, Tae-Joo discovers that the DNA matched in a re-analysis result. But he hides the fact from his team and TCI.

So-Hee’s investigation tells her that Yeon-Ho might be right about the culprit. She asks for a re-analysis of the DNA of the car burglar and serial rapist. When she learns the truth, the inspector barges into Tae-Joo’s office and exposes the information to everyone. After an argument with Tae-Joo, she meets one of the victims who earlier refused to talk to her. The victim reveals that the car burglar raped her and that she doesn’t want the truth to come out. So-Hee respects the victim’s decision and promises to nab the culprit.

That night, Yeon-Ho returns to the TCI office, where So-Hee informs him that he is right about the culprit. While discussing the victim’s confession, Yeon-Ho figures out who will be the rapist’s next victim. So-Hee runs to the crime division to inform the details and asks Yeon-Ho to wait for her as he cannot drive due to fear stemming from a traumatic road accident. However, he combats his fear and rushes to catch the serial rapist.

Crash K-drama episode 6 ending: Who killed Heo Ji-Won?

K-drama Crash episode 6 further features Yeon-Ho showcasing his fighting skills, taught by So-Hee, to catch the culprit. Although the TCI team solves the case, the crime division takes the credit.

Major Crime Division Head Tae-Joo meets with the TCI team and acknowledges their hard work in solving the case. He also delivers good news: “You [Yeon-Ho] won’t be dismissed from duty.” That night, the team celebrates Yeon-Ho’s victory. However, TCI team head, Chae-Man, did not attend.

So-Hee informs that it is Chae-Man’s wife’s death anniversary. Later, Yeon-Ho learns that she died in a hit-and-run case. It adds curiosity as the next scene shows a car chase between Jae-Young (Heo Ji-Won) and another four-wheeler. The episode ends with the unknown driver causing an accident. The driver approaches wounded Jae-Young and sets the latter’s car on fire. Who killed Jae-Young? Only time will tell.
