Under the Gun is a brand-new K-drama mini-series streaming on Viki and Viu in selected regions. The series stars SF9 member Zuho as the male lead, Go Gun, and Jo Soo Min as the female lead, Cha Se Young. The Korean drama centers around Go Gun, an exceptionally talented poker player. He goes through a dilemma of whether to join the Korean Poker League. This is due to the hazardous nature of the profession.
Go Gun’s father has lost everything due to his addiction to poker. He also used to be a great professional poker player but now has turned into an alcoholic after losing everything. Thus, Go Gun has to take care of his father and sister. In episode 4, the audience sees Go Gun struggling yet still working hard to earn money for the expensive treatment of his sister, who has leukemia. The episode also sees his rival Joo Tae Ha (Seo Ji Won) getting Go Gun arrested by the police.
Under the Gun Episode 4: Seo Ji Won gets Zuho arrested by the police
Episode 4 of Under the Gun begins with Cha Se Young (Jo Soo Min) and Go Gun (Zuho) walking together. The two have developed romantic feelings for one another. Cha Se Young saves her number in Go Gun’s mobile phone. Then, the two have a heart-to-heart conversation, where Go Gun tells Cha Se Young about his sister’s health condition. She has leukemia and needs expensive treatment. That is the reason why Go Gun has been doing several part-time jobs.
After their conversation, Cha Se Young goes with Go Gun to the convenience store where he works. She studies there while Go Gun finishes up his work. Then, he takes Cha Se Young to her home. Looking at the tall building, Go Gun clearly understands that they come from different financial backgrounds. However, Cha Se Young embraces Go Gun from behind before leaving. It is a heartwarming moment to witness.
However, Go Gun’s rival, Joo Tae Ha (Seo Ji Won), is present there and sees the two together. Joo Tae Ha also has romantic feelings for Cha Se Young. Thus, he gets furious at Go Gun after seeing him with Cha Se Young. From there, in Under the Gun episode 4, Go Gun attends his other part-time job. He works at an illegal poker game place. He does not participate in the game but works as a server or errand boy. Joo Tae Ha follows him to the place. To take revenge on him and make him suffer, he calls the police and informs them about the illegal poker game place.
After the police arrive, they arrest everyone inside the place, including Go Gun. They then take him to the police station and lock him up. Meanwhile, Cha Se Young feels anxious about Go Gun as she cannot contact him. Then she goes to his boss, who is also his friend to look for him. Together, they go to the police station and bail Go Gun out. However, the case is not dismissed, and Go Gun may get a harsh sentence for breaking the law. Cha Se Young is quite upset with the entire situation.
At the end of episode 4 of the K-drama, Go Gun returns home to his father. At home, his father is waiting for him. He then asks him to play a round of poker with him. He tells him that if he wins, he must participate in the Korean Poker League. And if his father wins, then he will enter the competition. The episode ends right there.
