South Korean actor Kwon Yul has recently come into the limelight after playing the second male lead in the ongoing popular rom-com K-drama My Sweet Mobster, starring Uhm Tae-Goo. Helmed by renowned director Kim Han-Min, the movie went on to become a massive hit at the box office. Kwon Yul portrays one of the central characters, Yi Hwoe, in the movie. The character is the military general and Korean admiral Yi Sun-Sin’s son.

The Admiral: Roaring Currents centers around the titular 1597 Battle of Myeongnyang, which marks the astounding naval victory of Joseon Admiral Yi Sun-Sin. Apart from Kwon Yul, the movie also stars Choi Min-Sik, Cho Jin-Woong, Ryu Seung-Ryong, Lee Jung-Hyun, Jin Goo, and others. Longing for You

It is a mindful mystery thriller K-drama that made its debut on July 26, 2023, on ENA. Actor Kwon Yul plays one of the central characters in the series, Cha Young-Woon. He is an elite prosecutor at the Central District Prosecutors’ Office. The character is also the female lead character, Young-Joo’s colleague. 

Longing for You chronicles the thrilling story of a countryside detective who is looking for revenge for his brother. The series also stars Na In-Woo, Kim Ji-Eun, Jang Hye-Jin, Ren, Kim Hee-Jung, and Joo Sae-Byeok, among others. Viewers can watch Longing for You online on Viki and Viu in selected regions.

The Policeman’s Lineage

The Policeman’s Lineage is a riveting action-thriller Korean film that hit theaters on January 5, 2022. Lee Kyoo-Man has served as the director of the movie, which stars Kwon Yul as one of the supporting characters, Na Young-Bin, who is a dangerous criminal. The film revolves around two police officers with completely different ideologies and methods. They construct a team to investigate a complicated and high-risk case.
