The Fiery Priest Season 2 will see a dangerous villain played by Seo Hyun-Woo. His agency recently confirmed his appearance in SBS‘ upcoming K-drama. After having a successful run in 2019, the series is returning for a second season. Director Park Bo-Ram and screenwriter Park Jae-Bum are reuniting for the new season of the drama.
The storyline of the previous drama revolved around a Catholic priest with anger management issues and a cowardly detective. However, how their characters will unfold in the new season is what the viewers are excited about. This season will also see BIBI along with the original cast of Kim Nam-Gil, Honey Lee, and Kim Sung-Kyun.
The Fiery Priest Season 2 reveals Seo Hyun-Woo’s character
Seo Hyun-Woo’s agency, Just Entertainment, revealed that he is going to play Nam Doo-Heon. He is the new addition to the cast and will be seen as the chief prosecutor of the Southern Branch of the Busan District Prosecutors’ Office. The character will have quite a few layers, as from the outside he will be apprehending the criminals, but from inside he will be involved in a huge cobweb of drug cartels.
Viewers are quite excited to see Hyun-Woo making an impact with his acting skills as a villain in the drama. Furthermore, Kim Nam-Gil is reprising his role as Kim Hae-Il, the fiery priest, while Honey Lee will be seen as the composed prosecutor, Park Kyung-Sun. And just like in season 1, Kim Sung-Kyun is playing the cowardly detective. Additionally, this time, BIBI will make a great addition to the team.
Seo Hyun-Woo has proved his worth as an actor in his previous works, including Flower of Evil. He is also gearing up for his upcoming project, Disney Plus’ Uncle Samsik.
Even though The Fiery Priest Season 2’s release date has not been declared yet, it is scheduled to premiere in the second half of the year on SBS.
