Disney Plus announced popular actors Kim Da-Mi and Son Suk-Ku as the leads for the K-drama Nine Puzzles. According to a report, the streaming network has scheduled its release in 2025. As of now, no release date has been announced. The series will follow the story of a profiler who gets entangled in a case and meets a detective who believes she’s guilty. Together, they begin to uncover the secrets of the case.
Kim Da-Mi plays the role of profiler Yi-Na, and Son Suk-Ku essays the role of detective Han Saem. Yoon Jong-Bin (Narco-Saints, The Spy Gone North, The Unforgiven) will helm the series. The interesting storyline and the characters have only raised anticipation among viewers for what the drama entails.
Nine Puzzles K-drama: Kim Da-Mi, Son Suk-Ku confirmed to play leads
In Disney Plus K-drama Nine Puzzles, Kim Da-Mi plays the role of profiler Yi-Na, a member of the Crime Analysis Team of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s forensic investigation department. She has excellent skills and the ability to understand a criminal’s motivation to commit a crime. Her life turns upside down when she becomes the only witness and suspect of her uncle’s murder ten years ago.
While Yi-Na decides to find the truth by any means, she crosses paths with Violent Crime Team detective Han Saem, played by Son Suk-Ku. He is an elite police officer, possessing sharpness and perseverance. Although he investigates the case with Yi-Na, he continues to suspect her. The detective’s unusual actions fluster everyone around him. The duo starts to investigate deeply into the case, which begins with a mysterious puzzle piece.
Kim Da-Mi is best known for her roles in many successful dramas and movies, including Our Beloved Summer, Itaewon Class, The Witch (Part 1 and 2), and others. Meanwhile, Son Suk-Ku most recently appeared in A Killer Paradox. He has also played other memorable roles in D.P. (Seasons 1 and 2), My Liberation Notes, and other dramas.
