Vincenzo Ending Explained: What Happens to Song Joong-Ki in the Drama?

One of the popular South Korean dramas about mafia gangs is Vincenzo. Starring Song Joong-Ki and Jeon Yeo-Been as the leads, Kim Hee-Won directed the series, and Park Jae-Bum wrote the screenplay.

The storyline revolves around Park Joo-Hyeong, who moves to Italy at the age of eight after being adopted. Years later, he makes an appearance as Vincenzo Cassano (Song Joong-Ki) and becomes an employee of the mafia gang as the consigliere. In a certain turn of events, he flies down to South Korea, his motherland, where he meets Hong Cha-Young. Cha-Young (Jeon Yeo-Been) is a savage lawyer whose main goal is to win a case by any means. How the story unfolds further is the theme of this drama. However, the series has quite a nail-biting finale. So, without further ado, let’s take a look at how the characters reach their conclusion in the drama.

Vincenzo: Do Vincenzo and Cha-Young reunite at the end?

The finale episode takes off from the cliffhanger ending of episode 19. Cha-Young gets shot, and lots of bloodshed is shown. While Han Seo (Kwak Dong-Yeon) battles his brother before realizing Jun-Woo shouldn’t have been born. However, Song Joong-Ki and Jeon Yeo-Been get their happy ending at the end of the drama.

Vincenzo and Cha-Young share some emotional moments in the hospital as he leaves South Korea. Even though it seemed like their relationship was doomed, after a year, the Italian mafia consigliere returns to meet the love of his life. They share a passionate kiss and promise to be back soon. On the other hand, Vincenzo awaits Choi Myung-Hee’s death. As soon as she leaves prison, she gets in touch with Jun-Woo. Then, the viewers learn that he is moving to Mexico. Soon enough, he asks her to transfer money into his accounts, and while thinking Myung-Hee (Kim Yeo-Jin) is safe, she makes it to Jun-Woo’s office. But voila, there’s Vincenzo (Song Joong-Ki) waiting for her to give her the classic death.

However, Vincenzo saves the slowest of all the kills for Jun-Woo (Ok Taec Yeon). Cassano plans the spear of atonement for Jun-Woo after getting his location from his brother. Vincenzo sets a murderous plan for him as he pleads for his life. The ending of the drama shows Jun-Woo to be immobile, making us believe that he’s dead. But is he? Well, that’s an open ending for the viewers.
