Branding in Seongsu episode 7: Kim Ji-Eun gets one step closer to finding her killer
The latest Branding in Seongsu episode began from where the previous episode left off. Cha Jeong-Woo confronted So Eun-Ho after he saw the latter try to kiss Na-On in the hospital. However, Jeong-Woo remained unaware that Na-On’s soul lived inside Eun-Ho. When she suspected him of trying to kill her, Jeong-Woo got furious. He expressed being affected by the accident as they had planned the pop-up event together.
However, Na-On noticed the same mark on Jeong-Woo’s hand that she saw on many of her other suspects. After reaching Eun-Ho’s home, where she now lived, Na-On rounded in on her suspects. She realized that Jeong-Woo didn’t have a strong motive to kill her. Furthermore, Na-On declared Do Yu-Mi her prime suspect since she benefitted the most from the accident. Earlier, Yu-Mi replaced Na-On to become the marketing team leader.
The following day, Na-On reached her office, still living inside Eun-Ho. Na-On faced criticism from the underground team as she had previously insulted them. She then left for the shoe factory, where the pop-up event had taken place. Na-On recalled the incident when she remembered her phone falling. She retrieved her phone to notice the glow-in-the-dark paint they had used during the promotions. Na-On concluded that she had seen the paint on the shoe factory owner’s shoemaking knife.
When Na-On confronted the shoe factory owner, he confirmed her conclusions. Although the owner was present on the night of the event, he didn’t try to kill her. When he entered the venue late at night, he saw an unconscious Na-On and used his knife to cut the water bag and revive her. He was the one who called 911 and saved her. The owner confessed that although he hated her, he wouldn’t go to the extent of killing her.
Na-On was overwhelmed with gratitude but continued to focus on finding the killer. She decided to re-route her investigation. She used her underground team employee Rex, who worked as a drag queen at night. Na-On then arranged for all the drag queens to get their shoes made by the shoe factory owner. Together, they worked to create a drag queen performance while rebranding the handmade shoe business.
As the underground team celebrated the event’s success, Na-On went to the team’s office. She noticed that the team genuinely tried to promote the shoe business and handled the event. Although they believed her to be Eun-Ho, Na-On realized their potential. Moreover, she further realized her own bias against them.
By the end of the episode, the mystery man with the rabbit mask once again entered the hospital where Na-On’s unconscious body was. Later, the doctors ran to check up on her as she suffered a seizure. After hearing the news, Na-On, living in Eun-Ho’s body, rushed to the hospital to see her own body getting shifted to the ICU. However, she crashed into the mystery man, but couldn’t see his face.
