Welcome to Samdalri episode 14: Yu Oh-Seong accepts Ji Chang Wook, Shin Hye-Sun’s relationship
The latest Welcome to Samdalri episode begins with a flashback of Yong-Phil’s mother, Bu Mi-Ja’s, funeral. His father, Cho Sang-Tae, put the blame on Cho Sam-Dal’s mother, Go Mi-Ja. The latter wasn’t even allowed to attend her best friend’s funeral, and since then, she has been carrying the guilt in her heart. Yong-Phil recalls it as a time when everyone was suffering in their own way.
The episode then picks up from where the previous one left off. Go Mi-Ja finally confronted Cho Sang-Tae and expressed her guilt for her best friend’s death. Sam-Dal’s family discusses her breakdown when her sisters realize the accident was the reason Sam-Dal broke up with Yong-Phil. Meanwhile, Sam-Dal and Yong-Phil decide to officially begin their relationship and stay strong throughout the existing tensions. However, Yong-Phil’s father was yet to approve of their relationship.
Meanwhile, Boo Sang-Do finally decides to let go of his love for Sam-Dal. The latter is in a great mood as she tells her sisters about her relationship with Yong-Phil the following morning. Sam-Dal then asks her mother not to feel guilty anymore. The latter supports their relationship, unlike Sang-Tae, who still holds grudges. Go Mi-Ja then goes to Yong-Phil’s house with boxes filled with food in order to feed him. However, she wanted to mend things with Sang-Tae so that their children could live happily.
Sam-Dal and Yong-Phil decide to accompany each other on the former’s photoshoot. While the duo begins to leave expecting romantic moments, Sam-Dal’s assistants drop by her house. Although Sam-Dal tries her best to leave them back home, they eventually join the couple. Meanwhile, Jin-Dal’s ex-husband, Jeon Dae-Young, promises to bring the theme park back to Samdalri even after getting disowned by his father.
At night, Sam-Dal and Yong-Phil try to spend some time together, but her assistants ask her to sleep with them. Despite their best efforts, the duo is unable to share romantic moments, which disappoints Yong-Phil the next morning. Meanwhile, Sam-Dal and Yong-Phil’s respective fathers get into a physical fight over their issues the previous night.
Moreover, Sang-Tae witnesses Sam-Dal and Yong-Phil holding hands, which infuriates him even more. Yong-Phil claims that Sam-Dal is the one for him, just like Bu Mi-Ja was the woman his father fell in love with. Later, Yong-Phil looks at a prospective offer but decides against it. He soon discovers that his father has gone missing, but he tells Sam-Dal that Sang-Tae is in the temple to spend time with his late wife.
Sam-Dal visits Sang-Tae at the temple and expresses her disappointment at their damaged relationship. She recalls her time with him and talks about how Sang-Tae considered her as his own daughter. After reminding him of the time, she proceeds to leave when Sang-Tae asks her if Yong-Phil is the one. Sam-Dal claims to love Yong-Phil “until the day she dies.” This reminds Sang-Tae of what he said to Bu Mi-Ja years ago. The statement mends his heart, and he eventually gives Sam-Dal and Yong-Phil his blessing.
The episode ends with a warning of impending drama as Sam-Dal’s ex-assistant, Bang Eun-Ju, plots against her one final time.
