Starring Park Hyung-Sik and Park Shin-Hye, Doctor Slump is an upcoming K-drama. JTBC recently shared a teaser poster, teasing the rivalry between the lead characters.
The new drama is a romance comedy based on a doctor-themed storyline. Directed by Oh Hyun-jong and written by Baek Sun-woo, it will revolve around two geniuses from the medical industry re-entering each other’s lives during their worst times.

Doctor Slump Teaser Poster: Park Hyung-Sik and Park Shin-Hye Were Rivals in School
Doctor Slump stars Park Hyung-Sik as Yeo Jung-Woo and Park Shin-Hye as Nam Ha-Neul. Jung-Woo is a famous plastic surgeon, while Shin-Hye is an anesthesiologist. They studied in the same school before making it big in the medical industry.
The recently released Doctor Slump teaser poster features the two in school uniforms. They have a mean look in their eyes, which seems like they are ready for competition. According to the storyline, Ha-Neul and Jung-Woo were ace students in school and, hence, shared rivalry as competitors.
In the present day, Jung-Woo has become a hot-shot plastic surgeon, but his career faces a setback after a mysterious medical accident. Ha-Neul, on the other hand, realizes that she never experienced fun in her entire life.
As the two are in the worst phases of their lives, fate brings them together. Once rivals now find comfort in each other’s company.
Doctor Slump: release date & more
Doctor Slump will premiere on Saturday, January 27, 2023, at 10.30 pm on JTBC. It will also air on Viki with subtitles. The rom-com K-drama will be released twice a week — Saturdays and Sundays.
The new 2024 drama is Hyung-Sik and Shin-Hye’s second project together. Ten years ago, they starred in Lee Min-Ho’s The Heirs.
