JTBC has dropped a new trailer for its upcoming rom-com K-drama Welcome to Samdalri. The trailer shows Ji Chang-Wook’s Jo Yong-Pil and Shin Hye-Sun’s Jo Sam-Dal as childhood friends and ex-lovers. The Korean drama is set in Jeju Island. As shown in the new trailer, it will revolve around the reunion between the exes who parted ways several years ago.
Jo Sam-Dal works in the fashion industry as an assistant photographer in Seoul, while Jo Yong-Pil is a weather forecaster in his hometown. The two will reconnect when Jo Sam-Dal returns to her hometown after a major inconvenience in her career. As such, Welcome to Samdalri will take viewers on a feel-good journey of re-ignited friendship and romance.

Ji Chang-Wook & Shin Hye-Sun reunite in Welcome to Samdalri trailer
The series will premiere on JTBC on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 10:30 p.m. KST. It will also be available to stream on Netflix on the same day. Renowned South Korean director Cha Young-Hoon served as the director of the series, with the script written by Kwon Hye-Joo.
The newly released trailer for Welcome to Samdalri gives the audience glimpses of the new developments in Jo Yong-Pil and Jo Sam-Dal’s relationship as they reunite after ages. It also shows the time when they used to be childhood companions, then lovers, and how they separated. Thus, it seems like the upcoming series will showcase different phases of their relationship and how it changes over time.
Apart from Shin Hye-Sun and Ji Chang-Wook, the cast list also includes Shin Dong-Mi as Jo Jin-Dal, Kim Mi-Kyung as Go Mi-Ja, Kang Mi-Na as Jo Hae-Dal, Kang Young-Seok as Boo Sang-do and Yoo Oh-Seong as Jo Sang-Tae, among other supporting actors.
