Popular Disney Plus K-drama Vigilante aired a brand new episode on Wednesday, November 15, 2023. The series, starring Nam Joo-Hyuk as the lead, follows the story of Kim Ji-Young, a sincere and hardworking police university student by day, but becomes a fierce and vengeful vigilante by night. Inspired by a personal tragedy, Ji-Yong takes the law into his own hands to deliver his brand of justice to criminals.
Episode 4 of Vigilante focused on Cho-Heon’s (Yoo Ji-Tae) intense search for the vigilante, unaware he’s already crossed paths with him twice. However, by the end of the episode, his clues and police detective instincts lead him to Ji-Yong. While it is unclear whether the police officer is sure of the latter’s identity as a vigilante, it is definitely that he already has his eyes on Ji-Yong as the potential suspect.
Yoo Hi-Tae continues his investigation to find Nam Joo-Hyuk in Vigilante Episode 4
Episode 4 of Vigilante picks up from the previous episode, documenting the aftermath of Jang Soon-Deop’s murder. Ji-Yong gets into the masked vigilante’s car to confront him about the murder. The masked man seems to be a fan and wants to be Ji-Yong’s sidekick. However, the latter doesn’t want the same to happen as it doesn’t match his visions and morals.
The masked vigilante wants Ji-Yong to consider his offer as he warns there will be a time when the original vigilante is caught. However, after a big fight, Ji-Yong leaves without unmasking the man despite his request to do so. As Cho-Heon and reporter Choi Mi-Ryeo (Kim So-Jin) continue to track the vigilante, Ji-Yong receives a message again from the masked man to seek his help.
The following day, viewers get a glimpse of Chang Kang-Ok (Lee Joon-Hyuk), who turns out to be the masked vigilante. He receives intel about what happened at the hospital from his assistant and learns that reporter Mi-Ryeo had filmed the whole incident. He reaches the news organization and has a private conversation with the reporter. Kang-Ok confesses to liking the vigilante and hopes they can protect Ji-Yong together. However, she denies it.
Meanwhile, Cho-Heon goes to Jang Soon-Deop’s brother and his gang, asking them to stay out of looking for a vigilante on their own. The detective joins his team to analyze the recent murder. Cho-Heon decodes that the vigilante is someone who knows the police very well. He discovers that the university professor Lee Jun-Yeop also said the same thing.
Cho-Heon visits the police university to meet Jun-Yeop. On the way, he walks past Ji-Yong and his friends. He’d previously taken a look at Ji-Yong at the hospital and followed him. The police detective reaches the professor’s office to hand him the data of the recent murder. He takes a look at a set of tables and chairs and asks what they’re for. Jun-Yeop replies that some students are helping him on a project.
Ji-Yong watches Cho-Heon leave and grows worried about his identity being blown up. He decides to seek the masked man’s (Kang-Ok) help. Cho-Heon realizes that Jang Soon-Deop’s brother and the gang interfered with the investigation. He goes to them, beats them up, and warns them one final time.
Meanwhile, Ji-Yong is in class when Professor Jun-Yeop asks what happened to his face. He makes an excuse but the latter discovers he’s hiding something. Before the professor could ask more, he received news that the police were looking for Ji-Yong. Kang-Ok sets a trap at the right time and has Ji-Yong escape the situation. The vigilante finally asks for the masked man’s help.
Reporter Choi Mi-Ryeo sets the tone for further investigations, looking into Sewool Future Resources, involved in illegal gambling and drug distribution. She discovers from a fellow reporter that Seo Doo-Yeop worked for the company. Mi-Ryeo also gets intel about chairman Kim Sam-Doo. The two reporters go to meet actor Yoon Jae-Hak, who was arrested as an illegal site operator after learning that he has some dirt on the company.
However, they find the actor dead, in a potential suicide. However, the reporters know that it cannot be a suicide based on their text exchanges with the actor. Meanwhile, Ji-Yong asks Kang-Ok to meet him at the bus terminal. The latter sends the same girl to distract him from the rest of his group. But Ji-Yong discovers Cho-Heon tailing him.
In the pretense of using the washroom, Ji-Yong comes face-to-face with Cho-Heon. The latter asks him questions about the vigilante, indicating he stops whatever he’s doing. While Ji-Yong pretends to have no knowledge of what the detective is saying, it is clear that Cho-Heon is one step closer to unveiling the vigilante’s identity.
All four episodes of Vigilante are available to stream on Disney Plus.
