Disney Plus released a brand new trailer of Nam Joo-hyuk’s upcoming K-Drama, Vigilante. The actor turns into a dark hero in the series, punishing criminals who didn’t receive the punishment they deserved.
The Twenty-Five Twenty-One actor plays the role of Kim Ji-Yong. When he was young, a thug beat his mother to death for no particular reason. The culprit received only three and half years of prison sentence and didn’t change post-release. Ji-Yong, now an adult, takes matters into his own hands and beats the thug.
In the newly released K-Drama trailer, Joo-hyuk’s character is a protector of the law during the day while becoming a vigilante at night.
Nam Joo-hyuk’s Vigilante release date, cast & more
Nam Joo-hyuk’s Vigilante will premiere on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, on Disney Plus and Viki. The Choi Jeong-Yeol directorial consists of eight episodes.
The latest trailer introduced the four main cast of the action thriller K-Drama. Joo-Hyuk’s Kim Ji-Yong had a traumatic childhood after a thug killed his mother. When the criminal didn’t receive the right amount of punishment, Ji-Yong beat him brutally. Since then, he started living dual lives. During the daytime, he is an ace student at Gwangju police university. At night, he is the opposite of someone protecting the law. He hunts down criminals who are not fairly punished and teaches them a brutal lesson.
The Vigilante trailer further introduced Yoo Ji-Tae as Jo Heon, the university’s investigation team leader. He is known for his super strength and is in search of the vigilante. The Korean drama also stars Lee Joon-Hyuk as Jo Gang-Ok and Kim So-Jin as Choi Mi-Ryeo.
Gang-Ok is the successor of DK Group and a fan of Ji-Yong’s dark character. He is the first to identify him and will help him beat criminals. Mi-Ryeo is a broadcast reporter in search of a scoop related to the dark hero.
After the success of Ji Chang-wook’s The Worst of Evil, Disney Plus brings the story of Vigilante to fans. It premieres next week on November 8, 2023.
