Korean actor Lee Sun-kyun recently landed in controversy related to drug supply. His agency HODU&U Entertainment issued a statement, stating that the actor and his team would fully cooperate in the investigation.
The official statement mentioned that the agency is also verifying certain facts related to the allegations. Furthermore, the Parasite actor Sun-kyun filed a complaint against a person, connected to the case, for continuous threats.
Reports stated that the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency’s Narcotics Crime Investigation Unit is conducting an investigation involving eight people, including a celebrity. When rumors about Lee Sun-kyun regarding this incident started spreading, his agency released an official statement.
Lee Sun-kyun’s agency to take strong measures against false reports
Lee Sun-kyun’s drug-related incident is under investigation. Soompi reported the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency’s statement that states “It is true that L provided a significant amount of money to the drug supplier while engaged in marijuana use. We estimate the amount to be around 300 million won (approximately $221,900)”.
Post the accusations, the Helpless actor’s agency HODU&U Entertainment issued an official statement. It read:

First and foremost, we would like to express our sincere apologies for the concerns caused by the reports regarding our artist Lee Sun-kyun.
Our company is currently in the process of verifying the specific facts related to the allegations raised against Lee Sun-kyun. We are committed to cooperating fully with any investigations conducted by relevant authorities with utmost sincerity and honesty in the future.
Additionally, Lee Sun-kyun has filed a complaint with the law enforcement agency against individual A, who is connected to the incident, for continuous blackmail and threats.
